This film is one of my all-time favorites. I first saw it at the cinema and loved it. Then I came across the extended version (with an extra 30 odd minutes compared to the US edition) and loved it even more!

The characters in the film are wonderful, some of them are hilarious. Even though the film's so long it never once drags. Drama and comedy hitting just the right balance the whole way through. GET IT!!!

Watching the original "Shall We Dance" compared to the U.S. remake, is great and makes more sense in Japan than the U.S.

The Japanese version is better cast and much funnier. Definitely a must to any comedy collection.

Y	The original Japanese film is wonderful. The U.S. remake was pathetic. The juxtaposition of the unconventional characters against the more rigid Japanese societal conventions is what makes it work. That's irrelevant in an American setting.	Choco
