Noriko's Dinner Table

| "Noriko’s Dinner Table" is a very long and hard-to-follow movie that is supposed to shed some light on "Suicide Club". The story takes place with Noriko, an average teenage girl who wants to leave her small town for the excitement of the big city. This is where she meets a friend from an online message board--and is taken in with a group of people that stand in for people's families for a price. Soon after the events of the first movie take place and Noriko’s sister Yuka joins her in her pursuit of happiness. Her father quits his job to search for his missing daughters. Will he find his daughters and save them from the clues dark deeds? What the two movies have in common is about three minutes at the train station, and I found that this movie did not clarify a single thing from the original. The story keeps jumping between characters and it was hard to tell who the story was focused on in most parts. All in this entire movie was a disappointment to me. |

Better than the first in my book. More on the storytelling than gore, but really great performances, a great sequel.-victimblue (see my profile) LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW!
Excellent film, I did love "Suicide Club" and I must see the prequel. It answers a lot of questions from the Suicide Circle. I wish i knew Japanese to understand the extras [on the Japanese DVD].
Great ending. -GUILLERMO ALDAMA M. (see my profile) LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW!
