Wild and crazy black magic-fest from Indonesia, very much along the same lines as "Mystics In Bali" but with less flying heads, and not as insane (but still head--pun intended--and shoulders crazier than) anything made in the U.S.. The third act bogs down a little. The first two thirds are essentially set pieces featuring a various insane death of a villager which culminates with the death of the arrogant young man who started all the trouble, which is the best of them all. Another excellent entry into the world of Asian black magic movies. |
