Don't hesitate on this one! You have the Yuen clan directing the action and Yuen Wo Ping himself directing th entire project.

The all-star cast of Yuen Biao, Leung Kar Yan, Kwan Tak Hing, Phillip Ko Fei and Yuen Shun Yee are at their flawless best. Some of the best Peking Oprea style kung fu on film. Give a golden horse to Yuen Shun Yee as the psychotic White Tiger--the ruthless villian.

Good plot, great characters and an end fight that shouldn't be missed!

Yuen Biao plays a cowardly laundryman who must take on a masked killer to help save the Chinese Folk Hero Wong Fei Hung in this classic masterpiece. Kwan Tak Hing once again portrays Wong Fei Hung amazingly and the scene of him performing traditinal Dit Da medicine is fantastic. The Northern Vs. Southern Lion dance scence is one of the best that I have ever seen. Also the wonderful Leung Kar Yan, plays Foon, Wong Fei Hung's top student. The action was exceptional, and the story was wonderful. Gung Fu movies don't get much better than this.

This is another of Yuen Biao's old school martial arts classics. One of the highlights for me was the highly original "clothes-washing" kung-fu that Yuen's character learns from his sister, as they operate a laundry. Watching him use it on the lead "baddie" in the movie's climatic battle was loads of fun, and almost worth the price of purchase alone.

The skillful choreography, Chinese opera setting, and breath-taking lion dances make this one of the best-ever martial arts films. The Wong Fei Hung character is peerless--his fighting abilities in the tailor scene and doctor scene leave the viewer reaching for the rewind button to see his skill again.

YThe choregraphy was awesome especially the end fight - flawlessLittle Dragon Fan

How could you miss with Yuen Biao and Leung Ka Yan, set in the last century in the time of Wong ? Well, they managed it ! The plot is very muddled, and casting Yuen as a wimp doesn't help. The fight scenes are the only thing worth watching, and they do get pretty good towards the end. The best scene is about 35 minutes in, when Wong FW's sworn enemy send The Demon Tailor to assassinate Wong FW. Watching this guy pretending to measure Wong FW while trying to kill him is absolutely hilarious. Apart from that, the climactic fight scene is a ripper. Judicious use of the fast-forward button is advised ;) Lastly, no clue at all is given about what the title has to do with the story. Hmmmmmm

On the whole, a solid actioner by Yuen Wo-Ping. But on the other hand he has directed much better movies. Kwan Tak-Hing shows us he still has a lotta spunk for a guy in his 70's although you can tell there are more than a few stunt double scenes. The standout fight pieces include a deadly dragon dance and the final fight between Yuen Biao and Yuen Shun-Yi and his flying cuffs. Yuen Shun-Yi also plays a similar bad guy character in "Drunken Tai-Chi".
