Overview:	The creative team behind "Appleseed" returns with another visual extravaganza built on the idea of a dystopian Japan. In the late 21st century, Japan has regressed into an isolationist state, reliant on robots and biotech from mega-corporation Daiwa, literally barring itself from the rest of the world. When it's suspected the country has developed a super-weapon, the U.S. intervenes and sends agents Vexille and Leon to investigate.
