Invisible Target All Content Used With Permission. ![]() "Invisible Target" is a really fun movie. Director Benny Chan, who makes tons of movies a year, really delivers in this picture. The action was done well and I really enjoyed it. The film did feel like a B-movie at times, but that is because of the pokey storyline. Still, B-movie or not, I really enjoyed the picture. -Black Belt Ninja (see my profile) ![]() ![]() Good action movie. ![]() This flick is totally off the meat rack in terms of action. I did not give it 5 stars only because the storyline could've been a tad more dramatic. -Johnnie Freeze (see my profile) ![]() After so many good comments about that movie, I watched it recently and I liked it a lot. There is plenty of action--not many fights, but they are intense. It's more an action movie than a martial arts movie, but worth seeing and including in your collection if you like the genre. ![]() ![]() "Invisible Target" is a kick-ass martial arts actioner and it doesn't hide it. I've seen this film many times and it's a crowd pleaser. I love this flick and it is very enjoyable! ![]() ![]() Very good movie! Some parts kind of cheesy. Great action flick overall. -JTRagic (see my profile) ![]() One of the best action movies to come out of Hong Kong in years. ![]() I enjoyed this film, and look forward to the day when someone will give Wu Jing the role to take him to the next level. -Hung Boxing Kid (see my profile) ![]() ![]() I am an action fanatic, and this was another action-packed flick. I truly enjoyed this film. ![]() ![]() This has been the best HK action movie I have seen all year. Terrific fight scenes, stunts, and action. Wu Jing looked exceptional. Special effects were somewhat good and the glass breaking and brutal fights were top notch. Benny Chan is on top of his game on this project following excellent accomplishments on Jackie Chan's "New Police Story" and "Rob-B-Hood". The storyline is okay, easy to follow, and the emotional content flows well and properly intertwined with each of the main characters. The action choreography is what we have been praying for and definitely a throwback to the glory HK days of action. I am not sure what more one is looking for in an action movie. Definitely recommended to anyone that likes HK action and an excellent addition to any HK film library. ![]() This film is awesome--a must-buy! Nearly as good as "Flash Point"! Nicolas Tse is great, he does his own stunts and his kicks are brilliant, Shawn Yue is cool and looks good in his fights. For me the standout thing about this film is Jaycee Chan (Jackie's son), this guy is an amazing actor and his fights are great and he is as fearless as his dad! Wu Jing shows again he is a ultimate badass with exceptional skills! Andy On shows some good kicks but his acting takes centre stage, has good chemistry with Jaycee Chan. Please go and buy this amazing film. Hong Kong cinema is back to its best! ![]() Who else is sick and tired of Gen X action crap? Yeah, I thought so. This is yet another fancy colored movie with young action heroes that don't really pull you into the movie except for their ultra cool clothes and grimaces. The action was terrible with wire work that is so unbelievably bad you'll feel embarrassed watching the film. The only saving grace is ironically Jaycee Chan's performance. His acting skills are getting really good and real emotion is conveyed (except for his scene in the end, no spoilers here). He is the only believable character who doesn't act all cool and actually adds to the story. And sadly, Wu Jing's abilities are once again not utilized with all the wire work. He's not been able to showcase anything really great since SPL (Fatal Contact was okay, but he's better than that). ![]() Overall just a great film with a great cast. Storyline carries the film well and the film's cast is first rate. Jacky Wu-Jing is on his way to becoming a huge international star if he keeps chosing roles like this, "SPL" and "Fatal Contact".
![]() I had high expectations for this movie, but unfortunately it fell flat. I thought the storyline was very contrived and corny. The characters were not engaging in the least, and I found myself not really caring what happened to them. Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yue did not put in convincing performances. Jaycee Chan may be the only of the three who actually put some emotion to his character. Also, the action was mediocre at best. The fight scenes weren't explosive enough to compensate for the weak story. I found it frustrating to see Nicholas Tse and Shawn Yue open up the movie kicking a lot of butt then as soon as they meet Wu Jing and his gang they're unable to even remotely keep up. This movie could've really used a cool plot twist or some clever elements, but unfortunately that only happens in one scene involving the guys after a fight. I don't recommend this movie at all.
![]() ![]() Fast, explosions, martial arts... What more do you want besides those elements? ![]() Finally another HK action flick that really is about just that: "action". The film was fast-paced and kept your eyes glued to the screen. If the director thought that the downtime was dragging on too long, he was sure to throw in another action-set piece to get your blood pumping again. Bravo on the pacing of this movie. While the two-hour plus running time could definitely have been shortened, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to sit through that length of time. While some of the melodramatic performances didn't quite work in the film, the highly choreographed action more than made up for its downfalls. Broken glass, guns, bullets, explosions, martial arts, and chases through the city make this one of the best HK action flicks this year. Definitely recommended. ![]() Action-wise, excellent, almost a 5 out of 5. Jason Wu is great, but the story really let it down. Some bit of acting really give me the feeling of trying too hard. It could be a simple story, but they make it so difficult. If the movie was 90 minutes instead of 130 minites, it could be a classic. But the excellent action makes up for it. Two thumbs up for the action director, I think he coud be the next Yuen Wo Ping. Highly recommended!
