PRODUCTION NOTES:
Wherever they dance, that's the dancefloor! The movie ripens with each dance step.
"DANCE WITH THE WIND" steps all across the country, showing beautiful places along with a man's life of dance. The scenes of Poongshik setting off to learn dancing from little-known maestros throughout the country are filmed at major attractions in Gangwon province. At the Daegwanryung open ? which is filmed 1,400 meters above sea level, he masters the quickstep. At the oldest mine in Cheolarm, he becomes a pupil of a miner and studies the cha-cha. In the Heungkuk Temple at Taebaek Mountain, he is initiated to the paso doble by a monk. And at the light house at Daejin harbor, he learns the waltz.Yet their journey is not over. The staff had a hard time choosing a location for the most fantastic and beautiful dance scene in the movie, and they found their answer in Hong Kong. The very last dance unfolds on an exotic night with an emotional view of Hong Kong.
People who are madly in love with dancing...They are just so beautiful!
The dancers' experiences in "DANCE WITH THE WIND" are very dramatic and uncommon, just like the movie itself. KWON Shari, who was responsible for dance composition in the movie, is a dance instructor and former professional dancer. She quit her earlier job because of her deep love for dancing and traveled around the world to learn to become a professional dancer. She is a genuine maestro. |
