Here's a case where the cover has nothing to do with the story so don't be discouraged from checking out this curiosity. Cynthia Khan returns as an `enhanced' super cop in pursuit of 3 others who are also genetically altered and have escaped from a lab. The story makes for some wonderful blend of action and character sparring---especially between Alex Man and Athena Chu (who is extremely CUTE and gets 5 stars from me). There are some odd blends of sets and events which at times seem a bit disjointed but add to the quirkiness of the movie. The final battle scene is particularly strange: a mish mash of odd props, backgrounds, etc. but overall if you like watching Cynthia in action this is a gem. | An unordinary explosion occured in the Northern Mainland that a special chemical laboratory for military research is also destroyed. There is a rumour that three 'military experimental products' are escaped from the laboratory and staying in Hong Kong as a robery gang with heavy arms. Therefore the government send another 'military experimental product' Yeh Ling (Cynthia Khan) to destroy these 'military secrets'. When the HK police find the gang, they send a team including Wan Chau-Shui (Alex Man) to catch them. Due to saving the life of Yoki (Athena Chu) in the chaos, Wan is hurted by Yeh's 'Lose-Memory Gun'. When later Yeh wants to destroy the evidence she is hurted by Wen in an accident and temporary lost her memory. Trying to escape from Yeh, the three robbers found out Dr. Chun Shek who is the former leader of their reconstruction and force him to enhance their ability. Yeh could not win the enhanced fighter, so she asks Dr. Chun to make another reconstruction for her. Seeing that the one turned mad after reconstruction, Wen and Yoki beg Yeh not to accept the operation, however Yeh needs to complete her order so she asks Wen and Yoki to kill her after the action. Finally Yeh becomes the strongest fighter and fights with the mad officer again. |
