ALTERNATE SYNOPSIS:
When the king becomes ill, an evil lord hatches a plot to kill the king and steal his daughter away for a forced marriage. An adventurous pirate and a mysterious wizard set out to rescue the kingdom; but in their way are a powerful witch, a band of ruthless pirates, and the Imperial army.
Toshiro Mifune ("Yojimbo") gives a rousing performance as the sailor who tries to save a girl but might just save a kingdom.
