Differences between US version and HK version, as well as DVD specs
  1. The US version gives a slight background story before opening credits.
  2. Opening sequence is just slightly shorter before Meng Yi's unit welcomes Concubine Ok Soo, but the opening credits continue on.
  3. Jack's journal entry after it switches to the present time after the first action sequence is "August 7th" (with no year specified). In the Chinese version, it's February of 2005.
  4. Jack's small conversation with William before William asks for his help is cut (but shown in a dubbed deleted scene).
  5. When Jack and William break into the temple and Jack reads in the inscriptions, he does not explain in the US version that the Dasar King fought for Ok Soo (unsuccessfully).
  6. Jack's entire apology to the temple guard after dispatching one of them is cut (All he says is "sorry"). This sequence in Hindi is also not subtitled on the US DVD.
  7. The leader of the local Indian mob does not say "Pick up some stones" when Jack and William are about to escape in the helicopter.
  8. A brief moment of Meng Yi tending to the wound on his arm is cut, just before Ok Soo wakes up and he goes to apologize for "making an error" in protecting her.
  9. When Meng Yi and Ok Soo are jumped by the Korean soldiers by the river, and when Meng Yi as defeated all but two of them and has one of them at sword point while Ok Soo is a sword on her, Ok Soo's plea that if one were to live she would rather it be Meng Yi is cut down to "Don't Do It."
  10. After Meng Yi finally dispatches the soldiers and pleads for Ok Soo not to help him, his statement that "your highness has suffered a fright" is cut and so is Ok Soo's statement that next to Meng Yi, she isn't afraid of anything.
  11. A shot of Meng Yi giving Ok Soo water from his helmet is cut.
  12. The "Ice Cave" and "Dance" sequence is slightly shortened (Meng Yi's initial refusal to watch her dance), as well as Meng Yi making Ok Soo promise to stay alive for him (although these sequence is shown in full in dubbed "deleted scenes").
  13. Jack's phone conversation with William asking him to meet him at the museum for make the donation of the sword and painting is cut short, leaving out Jack's desire to meet him there and making this scene a bit confusing (think of Columbia Tristar's release of "Dragon Fist" where a fight scene basically begins for no reason).
  14. William's desire and yet reluctance to meet his sponsor while still at the museum is cut.
  15. When William sees Professor Koo, and says "I thought you hated Jack," instead of the Professor replying with "Of course I do" he says, "Don't be silly."
  16. Before Meng Yi goes to quash the rebel army for the immortality pill, he is commanded by the emperor's advisors to leave some soldiers behind to guard the camp. Meng Yi agrees, and asks a number of men to stay. But the men who are asked to stay refuse, and say they swear allegiance to the general. However, this is cut in the US version, and it cuts to them saying they swear allegiance to the general, making it rather confusing why the soldiers as well as Meng Yi appear so emotional (these sequence is shown in full in a dubbed "deleted scene").
  17. In the US version, the explanation for the actions of the rebel army are explained more clearly as Jack is doing research: the prime minister and prince were attempting to overthrow the emperor and ordered a regiment of the army to take the immortality and keep it from the emperor.
  18. Jackie's desire to go into the waterfall and see the floating mausoleum is about finding Ok Soo, rather than "unraveling the mystery of his dream."
  19. During Meng Yi's last stand, the part of him jumping in midair to spear the man on a horse who stabbed a fellow soldier of his is cut. This entire battle as well has the blood toned down and appears slightly cut.
  20. A secret entrance to the floating mausoleum, set with booby traps, is cut. (this is shown in a dubbed deleted scene).
There are also some very small cuts here and there not listed. There is also an undubbed and subtitled deleted scene of a secret entrance to the Dasar King's temple (which never even made the original Chinese cut). Other than that the deleted scene, every other "deleted scene" is from the original Chinese cut and is all dubbed.

There is a 30--minute interview with Jackie Chan showing behind-the-scenes footage of making the movie. There is also a mall tidbit about Jackie's enormous charity work, and a useless featurette of a Dasar man talking about how he had actually seen "floating men." All the previews here are just old releases from this company.

While most of the features here are exclusive to the Asian DVD releases, this is not as extensive. Too much footage is cut which often ruins the mood the film originally intended, and some cuts make it confusing. These cuts were most likely for pacing purposes as well as a desire to stick keep the film in a PG-13 setting. I'd stick with the 2-disc or even 3-disc HK versions. However, if you like a dubbed track with Jackie's voice, this is would do you good.
