I'm very surprised that more people haven't seen this movie because it is quite good! Chin Kar-Lok is fantastic as Wong Fei-Hung and Lam Ching-Ying is terrific in a small role as Hwang Chi-Yin. I'm not sure how historically accurate this film is, but the action is top notch and the story is very solid as well. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the subtitles [on my version] are hard to read sometimes because they blend into the white background. Chin Kar-Lok is awesome in this one, he fights and flips like a young Jackie Chan. And his bootwork is also impressive. The budget is low and it ends abruptly, but it is loaded with great bouts and definitely worth your while. See this if you like kung fu. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
