Overall this was a good movie and story, but did not care much for the two leads, Angela Yu Chien and Chen Hung-Lieh. I would rather see Chen Hung-Lieh in a villian role and Angela Yu in a "wild girl out of control" role. He should have switched roles with David Chiang. A little too much screen time for each in roles that don't suit them. But seeing the absolutely stunning Annette Sam Yuet-Ming was well worth seeing and purchasing "Winged Tiger". Gorgeous. Where have you been and why are you not in more films? SB had some of the most beautiful women in film and Annette ranks up there with them even though her screen time was short.5 stars for Annette and 3 stars for the movie.
The "Winged Tiger Style" is somehow ridiculous. Way too much flying for my tastes. It's part of Shaw movies to have fighters jumping on trees, over fences, on roofs, etc., but when they fly Superman style, it's simply too much! The fights are generally okay, sometimes too slow. Mostly swordsplay. Overall it's not a bad movie, and if over-flying stuff does not bother you, you might end up liking it more than I did.
