Overview:	Shanghai, a mysterious city in the 1930s, where people held onto the superstitious belief that ghosts existed in the world. The veil between the living and the dead is thinner than many would like to believe, but neither would survive the curse of destiny. The story of "The Matrimony" begins with Shen Junchu, a cinematographer who loses hope and faith in life. One year ago, the love of his life died in a tragic car accident. Junchu witnessed the accident, the wedding ring he was holding slowly falling to the ground. Aided by the servant, Junchu's mother, consumed by superstition, decides to arrange a marriage for him. But Junchu is devastated and despaired, and the damage that was done to him seems beyond repair.
