Pak Suet Sin studied under many famous teachers of Chinese opera from a young age and has immersed herself in this traditional art all her life. Due to her determination and persistence, the operas that she and her partners had performed are all exceptional classics that can withstand the passage of time. Although she retired from the stage and withdrew from the screen more than thirty years ago, she is still closely associated with ˇ§Yam Pakˇ¨ and ˇ§Sin Fung Mingˇ¨ all these years and has become a legend in Hong Kongˇ¦s Chinese opera history. Pak Suet Sin received an honourary Doctor of Arts from the University of Hong Kong in March 2004. This was a commendation for her spectacular achievement in her Chinese opera career and her contribution in nurturing the younger performers.
