"Three The Hard Way" pits several Blaxploitation greats into one picture directed by Gordon Parks Jr.

The acting isn’t bad, especially for what you'd expect from blaxploitation. Gordon Parks Jr. has some good moments and some typically bad ones, as well. Many scenes drag along just to play an entire song for atmosphere. The story is not very well thought out, but it does fit the blaxploitation period quite well. The action scenes are actually pretty good. Some of Jim Kelly’s fights are some of his best. Some action sequences are long, too, with the occasional impressive stunt.

Although this film has many of the problems most blaxploitation films had, it appears to be of higher quality and bigger budget than the average one.

Excellent movie. Three of the most bad-ass kicking brothers who ever graced the screen.

"Three The Hard Way" pits Jim Brown, Jim Kelly, and Fred Williamson against a white supremacist plot to taint the water supply with a poison that only affects blacks. There is even more car chasing, gun fighting, and steadily increasing, guilt-free (they are EVIL WHITE SUPREMACISTS) body count than one would expect from the premise. The martial arts of Jim Kelly leave something to be desired; this is not "Black Belt Jones" or "Enter The Dragon". But it is at least far superior to the highly disappointing "Black Samurai".

Fans of more general action will find plenty to enjoy here, as every firearm has a hairpin trigger and every car is one dent away from exploding into a pillar of flames. And, of course, this is all set to a fun, if forgettable, 70s soundtrack from the Impressions.
