"Three The Hard Way" pits Jim Brown, Jim Kelly, and Fred Williamson against a white supremacist plot to taint the water supply with a poison that only affects blacks. There is even more car chasing, gun fighting, and steadily increasing, guilt-free (they are EVIL WHITE SUPREMACISTS) body count than one would expect from the premise. The martial arts of Jim Kelly leave something to be desired; this is not "Black Belt Jones" or "Enter The Dragon". But it is at least far superior to the highly disappointing "Black Samurai".
Fans of more general action will find plenty to enjoy here, as every firearm has a hairpin trigger and every car is one dent away from exploding into a pillar of flames. And, of course, this is all set to a fun, if forgettable, 70s soundtrack from the Impressions. |
