THE DIRTY OUTLAWS is the only directorial effort of screenwriter Franco Rossetti, author of DJANGO, VIVA DJANGO, RINGO AND HIS GOLDEN PISTOL, and TEXAS ADIOS. Both his writing and direction reflect the rapid pace that characterizes all his screenplays. Cameraman Angelo Fillippini provides the sun-scorched vistas that permeate spaghetti westerns, but he also adds a few gothic touches to the night scenes as well.

Prolific spaghetti western composer Gianni Ferrio (FORT YUMA GOLD, BEN AND CHARLIE, A MAN CALLED SLEDGE) compsed the score that ably adds to the atmosphere of the film.

The able cast features Andrea Giordana of THE WILD AND THE DIRTY and TASTE OF DEATH and the gorgeous Rosemary Dexter, the girl from the flashback sequences in FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE. Genre regular Piero Lulli plays the blind man while Aldo Berti turns in an amusing performance as a bogus minister.
