 | | | | The swan song of the visionary director Teruo Ishii. A strange twisted trip through the land of crazy, this movie doesn't attempt to make any sense, so don't go looking for logic where none exists. On paper this should be great. Teruo Ishii and Tadanobu Asano together should be a winning combination, but the movie feels rudderless, lost in a sea of symbolism. The movie just never managed to weave a good enough story to string together the vignettes which were pretty good taken separately, but together they just seemed too random to work. With things like "Horrors of Malformed Men", Ishii's best out-there movie, at least there was a single story thread to follow through the film, which kept the pieces together. This one really lacked a good thread to keep it from feeling disjointed and awkward. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | The title pretty much describes this movie--very manga styled, this screwed up movie drags you through every sense you have--making no sense and also complete sense, with the actor who played the brilliant Kakihara from "Ichi The Killer", dark and beautiful. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
