The heroine is unbelievably resolute, the villains unbelievably vicious and ugly, and the plotline only vaguely related to reality, but this is probably the most exhilarating of the "Female Convict 701" series. I first saw it without having seen nos. 1, 3 and 4 of the series, and it held up very well; watching it as part of the series, it is much better.
