He accepts a job at a local magazine; and together with a quirky cast of characters, they set out to document every obscure, hidden Udon shop in their small prefecture. When they begin to publish their guide, it catches on like wildfire, triggering an "Udon Boom", as tourists from all corners flock to their town to go on an "Udon Pilgrimage".
But what effect will this boom have on the small town and its long-time inhabitants? And how long will this "Udon Boom" last?
