Throw away your Red River VHS and those bootlegs, as we can finally have this cult classic in very nice picture quality. A huge improvement from the Red River release, almost like seeing it for the first time. The gore scenes are now more shocking as they are very sharp and not fuzzy looking. As a plus you can reomve those Japanese subtitles! Only drawback is you still have the optical censoring in two scenes. Anchor bay will releae a subtitled version but this movie is so visual reading subtitles distracts from the viewing expierence. |
