Overrated. The film was much more fun when you were a kid; once you start noticing how badly choreographed this movie was, like the majority of Hollywood films, this film is a bit too cheesy. A good adaptation though, since it stayed more true to the game than the second did. It's not bad but, then again Hollywood movies barely have good fight scenes.

Y	Paul W. Anderson is a popcorn director. The film is really cheesy, I guess it had to be because when the game first came out there was little background. I enjoyed this movie was I was kid, I haven't watched it for a long time, but good review.	JV47842

About as good a videogame-to-film translation of MK that you could hope for, although the violence isn't as high as I'd like. A must-see for MK fans, a decent popcorn flick for everyone else.

Unquestionably one of the greatest martial arts films made in the U.S. since the "No Retreat, No Surrender" franchise, raising the expectations for millions of fans across America of what REAL martial arts action filmmaking is all about!!!
