Having fallen in love with "A Tale of Two Sisters", I decided to check out other films starring the two young actresses from this masterpiece. Im Soo-Jung stars in "...ing", a movie which, if the ending to "A Tale of Two Sisters" tore your heart out, will don a pair of well sharpened cleats, stomp all over it, and then drive a large steamroller over what is left. This film goes straight for the heartstrings and proceeds to strum out a tune which cannot be ignored. Do not--I repeat, do not--watch this movie while depressed, intoxicated, or both. Be sure to catch this plus "Happiness" (another Im Soo-Jung gem) for a double weep-fest. |
