Miyuki (Mami Nakamura, "Tomie"), a café waitress, is crazy about her neighbor Yoshinori (Kazuma Suzuki), a grungy, unsuccessful musician. Too shy to even say hello, she quietly slips out of her apartment every night and compulsively collects his garbage, examining mementos and tokens as a way to reconstruct the life of the man of her dreams. Unveiling all of his hidden secrets through his trash, Miyuki believes that she is getting to know Yoshinori intimately. But is she? "Tokyo Trash Baby" is a charmingly sensitive film about a lonely but lovable girl's quest for love.
