For this release, Warner has taken Crash Cinema’s version of MOONLIGHT SWORD AND JADE LION and THE BLOODY FISTS, and put them together on one disc with the series heading of “Martial Arts Classics Double Feature.” The print for THE BLOODY FISTS looks exactly the same, but the original English-dubbed audio track has been altered. Music lifted from Hollywood films and Spaghetti Westerns without permission has been replaced with new synthesizer music, much like Celestial Pictures has done with some of their remastered Shaw Brothers titles. The new music isn’t too bad, but it is poorly mixed with the original dialogue. They were unable to isolate the dialogue from the old music, so you’ll still hear it on occasion when someone speaks. It’s rather annoying, but understandable that a major distributor would do this to protect themselves from potential lawsuits.

On a positive note, the encoding is superior to the Pagoda Films version so there is less pixelization and smoother playback when using fast-forward or reverse.
