Two completely different lives, but one fate. There are two completely different lives. One man is a police detective and the other is a gangster. By misfortune, the two people are brothers; moreover, they are the twins. After the elder brother had succeeded and left the family he was ashamed of, the younger brother, living at the bottom of society, had to help the family by earning money of hard toil. There has always been a long distance between the two brothers, Hae-shik and Hae-chul, who had turned away from each other with hatred.
The younger one hated the elder one. That distance between them is suddenly drawn near after the younger brother commits suicide together with the family members shooting them with the elder brother's gun. Carrying the ashes of his younger brother, Hae-shik goes to Chumunjin, to his mother's tomb. The feelings of love and hatred, anger and guilty consciousness fill his heart. The moment he arrives there, he confronts with Hae-chul's life, which becomes his life. Through Jong-doo and "Thunder", the two men who mistake Hae-shik for Hae-chul, he gets acquainted with the traces of Hae-chul's life and gradually becomes Hae-chul. Though Hae-shik, who has been living by his mind, neither liked nor understood the life of his brother who has lived by his heart, he step by step starts to understand it when he meets gangster "Thunder". He understands that his life, which seemed to be upright, may be wrong and not as rightful as his brother's shabby life, which he had despised.
