The Peacock King All Content Used With Permission. ![]() It was a cool flick, but it's very different from the anime, and the movie is done by Hong Kong so it has that Kong Kong movie feel to it. Don't expect your typical Yuen Biao action because this movie is FX-based, not hand combat-based. The special FX are okay and it was a pleasure to see Gordon Liu looking like a wuxia version of San Te. If you're into fantasy sci-fi films, then you'll probably like it more than I did. ![]() Gordon Liu and Yuen Biao in the same movie...should be great. Disappointing. Some special effects, some pretty creepy; however, it never really drew me into the story. ![]() See it. Great. Yuen is a traveling "ghost-buster" who encounters various stop-motion animated creatures. -LEH Barely recognizably derived from the Japanese manga about a Buddhist priest born with the power of the god Kujaku-Oh (Mayuri Vidya-raja). -IS
