ALTERNATE SYOPSIS:
During the Ming Dynasty, Lu Fang escapes from a battle with the Manchurians into Feng Jui County, where the police are exploited by a cruel magistrate, Wei Huai-Yuan. Lu helps the aggrieved villagers to kidnap Wei's daughter, but when Wei pardons several criminals on the condition that they fight for her release and kill his enemies, Lu finds himself reunited with, and fighting alongside, an old friend and a rebel leader.
