Another action comedy classic from the master! This is a wonderful period piece that's somewhat light on the action but keeps up a nice pace throughout most of the movie. The all-star cast is a treat to see and the music/cinematography is top-notch. A must-watch for everyone!

I liked this film and found it to be very entertaining because of its heartwarming story and the great fights we've come to love from Jackie Chan. If you've seen many of Jackie Chan's primetime movies then you already know what to expect from this. It's a great movie and many fans and people will enjoy this.

YThis is a great JC treat. It's fun and w/ a positive story, and plus a good offbeat remake of Frank Capra's "Pocketful of Miracles". This is also Chan's favorite film he has ever made.JV47842

One of Jackie's more interesting movies, only because it's so different. There is a nice amount of humor and action, but with a different setting this time out. A little slow moving at times, but still a more than worthwhile watch.

Jackie Chan, in my opinion, does not get the attention he deserves for being one of the great all time comedic actors. The complete original language version of this film is outstanding! The physical comedy, jokes, supporting characters, and martial arts action made for a great movie. We even get to see the late great and beautiful Anita Mui sing. Unknown to some Western Audience fans, Anita Mui had a beautiful voice and many hit songs in a career tragically cut short with her early passing. All in all a good movie for fans of Jackie Chan's brand of kung fu comedy!

This was Jackie's attempt towards proving himself as a genuine filmmaker. And not just a comedic action savant, jumping around, kicking, punching and making funny faces. And I think he put his nay sayers to shame with this enjoyable gangster era action comedy. It has exellent production value, great attention to detail, beautiful camers work and a wonderful cast to boot.

It may not be as pleasing to all out action fans though. As it is really a story driven affair. And even though the action and fight scenes are good, they take a backseat to the drama and comedy.

True chan fans will surely be able to enjoy this movie on it's different levels, as was intended. But action junkies might wanna give it a miss.

YThree stars is about right. I prefer Jackies action to his comedy and there are some very good action sequences in this, just not enough for me to catapult this into the "one of his best movies" category.William Giordanella

Jackie himself says that "Miracles" is one of his favourite movies out of those he has done. It's one of my favourite movies too. From the first minute you're completly taken into the story and atmosphere. The comic rhytm is fantastic (Jackie's effect!) and also the music. Jackie succeds in creating a charming atmosphere using marvelous camera angles. A must see...Check it out immediately!!!!

This movie is a gem. Criminally overlooked. One of Jackie Chan's 5 best films. I loved it!

A Capra-esque "feel good" 30s-style T/G comedy with Jackie Chan as the poor boy with a heart of gold who, though recently arrived in town, ends up being appointed mob boss through a series of accidents and coincidences. Egged on my nightclub singer Anita Mui, he ends up using the whole mob apparatus to do a good deed for a poor flower-vendor who wants to impress her daughter whom she hasn't seen in years... (The daughter - Gloria Yip - is due to wed a wealthy and important young man in the near future, so appearances are important....) The trademark Jackie Chan impressive action-comedy choreography is all there, but he doesn't really break new ground here, as far as I can see. It's a bit reminiscent of the feel of the Project A movies, but not quite as good - in my humble opinion.

Jackie Chan romances a lovely sophisticate with money (and covert crime links) in this diverting action adventure.

I was a bit disappointed with this movie as it did not contain the expected amount of humour or fighting. As usual the fight scenes that it did have were spectacular as ever. There are many quest appearances and cameos in this movie including Yuen Biao who pops up as a beggar for about 5 seconds.

A GODFATHER-inspired martial-arts thriller that's set in Hong Kong in the 1930s, where a penniless country boy rescues a mortally-wounded gang boss and inadvertently becomes his successor. As his power grows, he inevitably heads for the final conflict with the rival gangster who murdered this predecessor. A well-made Jackie Chan vehicle, fast, furious and enlivened with the occasional flash of humour.

Jackie Chan inadvertently becomes the head of a gang through lucky roses purchased from an old lady. Anita Mui is a singer at the gang's nightclub. The two try to do a good turn for the old rose-seller when her daughter comes to visit, and try to make it seem as if all the exaggerations in her letters to her daughter were true.
