[SPOILER ALERT.] Great movie, just wish the ending was different. I hate seeing my hero die

Lots of action in this movie, but on the whole it feels somewhat rushed and unfulfilling. Much of the same cast appears in "In The Line Of Duty 4" and "Crystal Hunt", and both of those films are clearly better. But if you've already seen them enough times, check this one out too, it won't hurt.

I love Donnie Yen movies, this one was a good one. Michael Woods, Gordon Liu, and John Salvitti all play usually good roles in Donnie's films. But yeah, if you like his movies this one is a must have.

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS.

Cheetah On Fire is one of Donnie Yen's worst output. I was so disappointed and hurt to see something like this from a Donnie Yen film. Then he dies in the movie's final action sequence.

YYou're not lying...it sucked that his character had to die the way he did in this movie. And Donnie's character sums it all up by saying "My job's done!" I'm like, "huh"? What was your job Donnie...to die in this movie? You're supposed to be the hero...SN28148

Well, I'll be blunt: I didn't really know what I was getting into when I bought this movie. ..the English dubbing [on the version I watched] is semi-okay and the plot revolves around a mysterious micro-chip that two warring sides wanna get their hands on. Not much else is known about the chip, except that it can't fall into the wrong hands...period.

This movie was kinda weak on plot, but the fight scenes make up for that. Also, there's plenty of lovely women in the film who clash with each other or are involved in love scenes with some of the male actors. Needless to say, Cheetah on Fire was indeed entertaining, but there were some flaws that kinda kept it from getting a full five stars:

  • bad lighting
  • bad editing
  • semi-good dubbing
  • choppy dialogue.
However, don't let these flaws stop you from enjoying this film...get it if you're a major Donnie Yen fan.
