Plot:	Adapted from one of China's most well-known fairy tales, the Goddess of Mount Hua falls in love with a mortal scholar and gives birth to a baby. When that baby grows up, he seeks to unravel the mystery surrounding his mother whom he has never met.
Overview:	To commemorate its 10th anniversary, MP&GI has devoted all its resources to produce The Magic Lamp. With MP&GI's much-acclaimed stars, script writers, producers and directors at its helm, The Magic Lamp is undoubtedly one of the most memorable pictures in MP&GI's history. Adapted from one of China's most well-known fairy tales, the Goddess of Mount Hua (Grace Chang in her unusual ancient costume role) falls in love with a young mortal scholar Liu Yanchang (Lucilla You Min) and gives birth to a baby son, Chenxiang. When Chenxiang (Jeannette Lin Chui) grows up, he seeks to unravel the mystery surrounding his mother whom he has never met.
