| Overview: | Acclaimed director Toshiaki Toyoda ("Blue Spring", "Nine Souls") presents the viewer with a nihilistic anti-hero in "Tokyo Rampage", a violent portrayal of modern-day youth.
Arano (Koji Chihara) is cleaning up the neighborhood by killing yakuza. His cold-blooded brutality impresses a young gang leader, Kamijo (Onimaru), who sees him as a useful ally in his own battles against yakuza bosses. When Arano viciously kills two American drug dealers, they both have a chance to profit from the stolen drugs. But he slowly learns that nothing is the way it appears and that nobody can be trusted. Will he stay with Kamijo's gang or just kill everyone for the fun of it?
Visually stunning and with intense action, "Tokyo Rampage" raises the standard for Japanese vigilante films.
