| This is the first Korean Drama I have ever watched and I absolutely adored it. Out of the hundreds of Korean serious available, I decided to go with this series as my very first Kdrama. What attracted me to this show is mainly the realistic storyline and all the good reviews I've come across. I'll admit at first I was a bit skeptical if this series could live up to all the online hype, but it did just that!
A lot of people may have a beef with this series due to the fact it's a bit slow paced. Yes, it's a slow but only at first--it quickly picks up after the second episode. The primary episodes are more character introductions, which are very important if you want to sympathize with characters; and I enjoy that a lot in a TV series. Character development is a necessity if you are to feel any emotion toward these fictional people.
Witty humor and dialog, an all star cast (Gam Woo Sung--"The King & The Clown"), along with tons of heartfelt moments makes this one amazing series. |
