Awesome Korean movie. Great acting, funny story, fabulous costumes and settings. And it's loosely based on one of Korea's real kings who was a little nutty.

Beautiful costumes, wonderful scenery, a great cast - playing out the story of two wandering entertainers in ancient Korea.

One of the two young men becomes the lover of the emperor, the other in an attempt to win his friend's freedom ultimately sacrifices his eyes in a gruesome scene. In the end the two men resume their minstrel ways happily and together. A fine motion picture from Korea which deserves to be widely viewed. Highly recommended.

One of the best Korean movies I have seen. Funny and dramatic, it is extremely well acted and directed. It gives a great feeling of the time in which it is set. Highly recommended.
