This is a fairly run of the mill Ti Lung film. For those of us who like him, that's more than enough. Here he plays an ex-convict who uses his chains as a signature weapon, and who is seeking those who framed him. There is a twist ending which one may well see coming.

I really enjoyed this film starring Ti Lung as a wrongly imprisoned man seeking vengeance after his release from prison 15 years later. Jason Pai Piao is excellent as the villain who put everything in to motion regarding Ti Lung even the shock ending!
Wow, this is what I've been waiting for. Ti Lung and the rest look very good in this one. I watched it like eight times already. Smashing story.
Not one of Ti Lung's better movies. The big "plot twist" was highly predictable and I hated the ending. Nothing really great about this one.

Ti Lung returns as another "stranger with no name" character reminiscent of Clint Eastwood, however this time he carries the chains that bound him as a prisoner, and uses them as weapons for revenge.
Tony Liu Yung is very good as the antagonist, and you can see why he was allowed more villanous roles such as the enunich in "Secret Service of the Imperial Court".
Chor Yuan, the director, always paced his action films with a sense of romanticism with very heavy subplots, and twist/surprise endings.
The film is dark, lots of night scenes and shadows, setting the tone. "Convict Killer" is a decent effort from the Shaws.

I like this movie that stars Ti Lung.
A very good film of the Shaw Brothers Studio starring Ti Lung. Ti Lung is one of my favourite actors. He shows a great martial arts performance with the Iron Chain. If you are a fan of Shaw Films, buy this film. Top entertainment!
