| I was very happy to own a digitally remastered copy of a Bruce Lee classic. As the details on the case mention, it's his only feature-length movie where he's both the director and the screenwriter.
The DVD notes also mentioned this is an uncut version, and I noticed that the fight scene in the back alley include Bruce wielding double nunchakus, which I did not recall seeing before.
The dialogue is available in either Cantonese and Mandarin, but the Caucasian characters still speak English (at least while I picked the Cantonese DTS track). That's one thing that caught my attention now which I've never noticed while watching this movie as a kid. The setting is in Rome, Italy, but nobody speaks Italian...oh well, that doesn't really detract from the action sequences. Bruce shows off his trademark lightning fast speed in kicks and punches.
Given the price and the decent picture quality, if you want to collect all the Bruce Lee classics this is the version to get. |
