Acclaimed actor of the '60s, Lu Chi directed soft porn in the '70s, pushing the envelope with "Starlets For Sale" by showing female pubic hair for the first time in Chinese film. The film is a commentary on the contradictions between sex and Hong Kong's hidden attitudes about them, and was one of the top grossing films of 1977.
