 | | | | Derivative wire-fu wuxia flick, but it has some good explosive action, especially in the first 20 minutes. Brigitte Lin is deadly as ever. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This movie was ridiculous. High flying action, everything on fire, things blowing up, bad girls gone good. Story is superb: master vs. student. Wow, worth every penny. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | If you like any of the wire-inspired 90s kung fu movies, and especially if you like Brigitte Lin, you'll love this one. Great fighting, and the story's okay. Check this one out. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | | Right from the start of this film you know it's going to be good. Flying people for the first 10 minutes, then a very well told, well acted story unfolds (Fire Dragon sees what she is doing is wrong when she comes in contact with innocent people she would have killed if she was not undercover, and starts caring for them). The end fight scenes are incredible, and Bridgette Lin is great. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | | FIRE DRAGON is the best-looking film I've watched recently, since BRIDE WITH WHITE HAIR 2 anyway. The cinematography and compositions are very well done. The opening sequence is very dynamic, an attempt to steal an incriminating letter. For some reason, the sound effects sounded really good in that theatre that day, very effective... | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

| Every time I go back and rewatch this movie in its entirety, the more in love I am with it. Brigitte Lin is at her best, playing Saint Fire who starts off as the evil witch working for Prince Six. When she becomes more involved with everyday people later, she changes from a cold-hearted killer to a generous, innocent woman. But that doesn't all work out because Prince Six is still on her back trying to get her to kill a decent official. Lin refuses, and both she and the prince are killed in a big explosion at the end. This very very fine piece of work is a lot more than just another kung fu movie. It features an outstanding cast, messages about values and love, heartbreaking scenes that tamper with your emotions, unforgettable moments when Brigitte Lin's character transforms into a good personality, excellent choices of music, and high quality swordplay. This is rapidly becoming one of my very favoritest movies of all time! Containing one of the most charming stories ever produced in a movie; one that you really get to see the characters develop, which a lot of film tend to miss. [10/10] |

| One of the best plots in any movie ever! Ah Hsia is a witch mercenary working for the evil Sixth Prince, who sent her on a mission to destroy evidence of the prince's betrayal to the emperor. The only thing standing in Hsia's way is a skilled young man who has the evidence. To get the priceless evidence on paper, Hsia pretends to be an innocent woman hurt in the woods, still with full intention of getting the evidence at all cost. However, when she becomes more involved with everyday people who welcomed her into their homes, Hsia changes from a cold-hearted killer to a generous, heart-warming woman. The sixth prince, after discovering Hsia's moral changes, orders her best friend growing up to finish Hsia. Hsia accidentally kills her best friend/sister, and is determined to stay with her good side. With some help from a couple of chilvarous "friends", Hsia duels with his former master in a breathtaking finale full of explosions. This is truly an inspiring film. After watching it, every man and woman will be moved. The characters develop gorgeously, and the story told is indeed as good as anything gets. |
