Young Susanna is raped gruesomely by her father. Although she does not feel a calling as a nun, her mother gets rid of her to a convent, where she begins as a novice. Even here she fails to find any peace, as sexual intrigues and excesses are part of everyday life at the nunnery. The mother superior likes Susanne and forces her love on the innocent novice, thereby attracting the jealousy of the assistant, who cooks up a devious plan. Susanne however, falls in love with her father confessor. The Church has to intervene!
