Stage 1
National detective team! Getting down to work! Young-dahl and Jay-soo begin their investigation of a murder. A woman is found dead in a desolate subway station, and she stares at them with sorrowful eyes. Jay-soo looks at Young-dahl as he closes her eyes. He promises himself to get revenge for her.
Stage 2
The Homicide Team works day and night on the investigation and stakeout duty. They uncover clue by clue from their tipster contacts and determine that other victims were murdered in similar ways. To stop additional murders, Young-dahl and Jay-soo work with Sang-choon's gangsters to gather information from the gangster network.
Stage 3
What is the gun for if you can't shoot? After a long shift on stakeout duty, Jay-soo encounters the criminals in the middle of a crowded downtown area. Pulling out his gun, Young-dahl stops him. Young-dahl knows from past experience that guns can't solve everything and gives Jay-soo his sincere advice. But Jay-soo disagrees, having seen the criminal slip away right in front of his eyes.
Final Stage
D-Day -- "Everyone has to share the blade's cuts to survive". Finally it's D-Day. The whole Homicide Team mobilizes to capture the criminals. But the criminals notice the detectives and attack defenseless Jay-soo. At that moment, detective Chang throws himself between the criminal and Jay-soo and is stabbed with a knife. Jay-soo furiously goes after the criminal and his hands move towards his gun. Young-dahl sees this and feels aggravated.
