Plot:	A poor, uneducated man takes in a young orphan girl, wishing only to provide her with a healthy home. He endures constant distain from fellow villagers as well as his son and daughter-in-law in pursuit of this selfless goal.
Overview:	Xiao Hua, a poor orphaned girl, escapes from abusive foster parents and is taken in by a poor, uneducated man whose only wish is to provide her a home and bright future, and who will do anything he can to live up to his commitment, including enduring constant distain from fellow villagers as well as his son and daughter-in-law who are trying to have a family of their own. This poignant story of selfless love is a study in patience and humility, leading to a stirring conclusion in which everyone faces their own intolerance and ingratitude due to the old man's actions.
