| This 2-disc set features an unusual and unnecessarily complicated foldout case that continues to show how Korean movies are imaginatively marketed. While cleverly done, it’s likely a reason why their DVD releases tend to be so expensive.
There’s nothing much to report on the quality of the movie presentation. CJ Entertainment has a high standard that’s easily maintained here both in the movie’s crisp visuals and dynamic sound.
The discs’ menus are not English-friendly, but laid out logically enough for any non-Korean reader to navigate.
Almost all bonus features are in Korean with no English translation. That will make the audio commentary on disc one and the cast interviews on disc two of limited interest. However, disc two also contains a generous portion of behind-the-scenes footage, both in a making of featurette (53 minutes) and a shorter behind-the-scenes segment (6 minutes). A sampling of the complex wirework and martial arts choreography and training are revealed.
Other extras includes 16 minutes of deleted scenes, a montage of stills, and a collection of promotional videos including trailers, TV spots and footage of the photo shoot used for the movie’s rock star-like promotional art.
