Everyone already knows this movie was great. This was the first version to have English subtitles. The special features are great because it shows the making of each action scene. My only complaint about this DVD is that it is not really widescreen, but great quality. Hopefully when the US comes out with the DVD, it will also have an option to have the original soundtrack. The Austrailian version had that option for Ong Bak.

Distributor: KD Media
Format: Region 3 DVD, NTSC
Length: 110 min
Aspect Ratio: Widescreen
Audio Tracks: Thai (Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital 2.0)
Subtitles: English, Korean

Notes: This is a fine 2-disc Korean release featuring excellent audio and video quality, well written removable English subtitles along with Korean subtitles, slick packaging, dual-language menus, and a solid compliment of bonus material. Yet having half of the movie's dialogue spoken in English reveals a few substantial omissions or inaccuracies on the part of the subtitled translation that otherwise might have gone unnoticed.

Extras: All extras are found on the second disc.

A fantastic "Behind the Scenes" featurette (56 min) is essential viewing for anyone interested in seeing how most of the film's stunts and fight sequences are pulled off. No time is wasted on interviews or promotional glitz. With no narration and very little dialogue, the feature speaks for itself with lots of behind-the-scenes footage. Shown are comparisons of finished and unfinished action sequences, numerous outtakes and prep work. All of the film's major action scenes are covered.

"Interviews" (31 min) with cast and crew only have Korean subtitles, but about half of them are in English including Australian crew members and English-speaking cast such as Johnny Nguyen, Nathan Jones, Xing Jing, and Jon Foo.

An excellent "Still Gallery" (3 min) features a slideshow of high resolution, full screen stills from the movie.

A "Promotional Tour Interview" (7 min) offers a second, exclusive interview with Tony Jaa for the Korean release of the film, but again only with Korean subtitles.

Remaining extras include a trailer and teaser.
