The only reason why I didn't give this a full rating is because of the ending. Well, apart from the sad ending; which I think most artistic films like to have, I liked everything about the movie. The only slight ambiguity in the movie was at the beginning where they showed Francis with his girlfriend but later on, there was nothing about what happened to her.
The film itself was beautifully made and could make you feel all sorts of emotions, happy, sad, amused, angry etc. I always thought Sandra Ng was more suitable for comedies but after watching her in this film, I think she could be serious when she wants to. The electricity between the couple was immensely lovely, the intensity of the stares, the beautiful blossom of the romance was a delight to watch. Highly recommended!
