On the other hand, Loy-Hei's talent in singing Beijing opera was highly appreciated by eunuch Siu Tak-Cheung. It sowed the seed of future disaster. When Siu Tak-Cheung learned that Loy-Hei was acquainted with the revolutionary, he tried to trap Loy-Hei. Loy-Hei finally swallowed charcoal to destroy his own voice as revenge on Siu Tak-Cheung.
