 | | | | I was really intrigued by this movie when I heard the synopsis. There are a lot of "kidnapping gone wrong" movies out there, but this one has a really great twist. This is one of the other half of Japanese horror movies that have a slower pace and less bang scares in exchange for solid character development and a slow burn pace that builds to a big conclusion. I think too many people go into these movies expecting either "The Machine Girl", where the gore doesn't stop flying until five minutes after the credits role, or some kind of American horror movie that is made up of a series of bang scares that startle you but never do anything to actually build tension. If you are expecting a bunch of bang scares, don't be shocked to be disappointed; this is much more of a psychological horror movie and it does a really great job in my opinion. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
