 While these are both tales that you've probably run across--especially if you are a fan of Hong Kong horror--and you can guess pretty much what happens, they are still very enjoyable because they have the extra level of polish that Shaw gave to their films. I liked the second tale a little more than the first, it was more playful than the first one, which was a fairly standard ghost story. All in all it won't disappoint but it really doesn't bowl you over either, especially if this isn't your first Hong Kong horror movie. |
