This movie was pretty good. Lots of good fight scenes. The story was a little confusing until it got towards the end which made this movie a little hard to keep up with. This movie was entertaining but nothing special to rush out to go and purchase immediately.

Chen Kuan Tai was the perfect choice for the lead in this violent actioner. He played a cocky, self-assured gangster trying to muscle the neighborhood to perfection. The fight scenes are well staged with lots of assorted mayhem: we have bludgeoning with steel pipes to go along with the hand-to-hand combat.

If you can handle kung fu and automobiles in the background, this is well worth the purchase. If you prefer swordplay, it's not for you.

Chen Kuan Tai is the most convincing Shaw Brothers martial artist of his era, and this is one of his best showcases. His character is not so much heroic in the traditional sense as he is hungry - for respect, power and wealth, in that order. The outcome of the story might be telegraphed early on, but the final battle alone is worth the time and expense of viewing this gem.

Very Amazing!!!!! Ms. Ching Li looks stunning in this movie...and of course Mr. Chen Kuan Tai is doing what he always does best. I give both this and "Boxer From Shantung" a big tie big time!!!!

Great action, sound effects... RAW KUNG FU. SHAW OLD-SCHOOL CLASSIC.
