Solid martial arts movie. The story reminded me of a Robin Hood story. The evil authority figure brings in a ringer to defeat the popular hero at his own game. In Robin Hood it was archery, but this involves kung fu on top of wooden poles. I liked this movie, but I couldn't really make it better then what it should be. It didn't wow me, but at the same time the storyline was great, showing a young Wong Fei Hung and how his life was beginning to take shape. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

If you've seen one train hard/get revenge flick, then you've plenty of others. However, I do enjoy the intricate choreography involved in fighting on wooden poles, and the duels here are very well done. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
