Red Sorghum All Content Used With Permission. ![]() Too politically communist for me to stomach well. Everything's in there, from villifying land owners to praising equality among workers to violent proletarian revolution/resistance. Bleh. This wasn't so much a movie as Zhang Yimou's paying the requisite party dues so that he could make real movies later. Do yourself a favor and move on to Zhang Yimou's worthwhile later works. -AD37594 (see my profile) ![]() I was lost in time until the Japanese troops arrived to the farm. I've been strongly astonished by the relationship between wife and husband. One scene is so cruel that I've understood the hatred of Japan. It's a good drama.
