This version is utterly atrocious looking. At times so dark as to be unviewable. It would be better to get the Korean version (Spectrum SPD-1698) which is anamorphic instead of letterboxed. It is as beautiful as the US version is awful. It is also all region. MABOROSI is a very, very fine film that deserves better than the version that New Yorker has released.
